Writing for children is her way of communication, her contribution to the world. Through children’s literature, she believes she is investing in the common good.
Biography
Katerina Trajanovska (1990) is a Macedonian children’s writer and illustrator. Her debut novel, Brzospletkovska 63 and the Case of the Stinky Socks (Libi/Ars Lamina, 2019), won the Litera Festival award for Best Book for Children in 2020. She followed with Cat Confessions, or What It Means to Be a Cat (2022), a collection of ten stories she also illustrated. In 2023 she created the picture book Zelda & Fe and the Sick Dragon. Trajanovska lives in Berlin, where she also works as a UI designer.
