I do not make a significant distinction between “literature for children” and “literature for adults.” What essentially interests me in literature is the language—wordplay, nonsense, puns, humor, parody, satire, references, mannerism… I fully agree, even as a kind of personal ars poetica, with Alice’s famous line: “What is the use of a book without pictures or conversations?!”

Biography

Nikola Gelevski is the editor-in-chief and responsible editor of the publishing house Templum and the magazine Margina, from the 1990s to today. As editor-in-chief, he has signed more than 500 books and has initiated and led a number of significant editions (Magma, 21/20 Century, Lift, At 5 by the Merry-Go-Rounds!, Buying Old, Three Hundred Sails! etc.). He is also the founder, editor-in-chief, and responsible editor of the online portal Okno (since 2009) and of the literary festival Druga prikazna (since 2016). He is the author of about ten published books (theory, prose, children’s poems, comics, picture books) and the translator of around twenty (prose, poetry, theory, children’s books, etc.). Under the pseudonym Pandalf Vulkanski, he has published six books for children and young readers.

Outstanding title:

A comic for children and adults. Panda and Anaconda live in Uganda beside twins Linda and Belinda. A drone-triggered adventure unites neighbors, featuring mythic beings— Yggdrasil, Simurgh, Roc, Simargl— and even the space dog Laika. The main ones, however, are a Panda and an Anaconda.
