Biography
Aleksandar Kujundjiski (b. 1946) is a Macedonian writer for children and adults, as well as a humorist and satirist. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje and has worked as a humorist for Radio Skopje, as well as a journalist and editor for the magazine Lovec. Since 1987, he has been a member of the Writers’ Association of Macedonia. From 1990 until his retirement in 2010, he worked as an independent professional writer. He is the founder of the publishing house Antolog (1999) and has published 145 books (first editions), including poetry, short stories, novels, tales, fables, plays, haiku, riddles, and humor. His collection I Want a Book has been translated into 11 languages. Kujundjiski has received numerous awards, including the Vancho Nikoleski award and the 13 November award. His work is characterized by satirical and humorous tones, often reflecting the contemporary world through a light and witty approach, leaving space for both enjoyment and thoughtful reading.
