Lori\u2019s poetry delves into the complexities of human nature, addressing enduring themes such as time, oblivion, love, humanity, politics, and the personal struggles of women in relation to tradition, aging, and societal expectations.<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biography<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>D.A. Lori (Dolores Atanasova-Lori) <\/strong>was born in Germany in 1974. Her literary career commenced with the publication of her poems in \u201cBookbox\u201d, followed by a collaboration with the publishing house \u201cBlesok\u201d, which led to the release of her first poetry collection, \u201cAwakening in Third Person Singular\u201d, in 2014. In 2016, her second collection, \u201cHand in Hand with the Wind\u201d, was published by \u201cAntolog\u201d. During this period, her work also appeared in the anthology \u201c100,000 Poets for Change\u201d and the e-book \u201cPoetiskon\u201d, as well as on the online platforms \u201cSlovocult\u201d, an art and literature magazine, and \u201cFixpoetry\u201d, a German literary website. Additionally, her poetry has been featured in the monograph \u201cAstalni Proekcii\u201d and in \u201cSovremennost\u201d, the oldest Macedonian magazine dedicated to literature, culture, and art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a three-year hiatus, Lori published her third poetry collection, \u201cA Sky in a Cage\u201d, in 2019. That same year, she was honored with the \u201cTodor Chalovski\u201d award, which facilitated the publication of her fourth collection, \u201cWaves Are Coming\u201d. In 2020, \u201cA Sky in a Cage\u201d was shortlisted for the prestigious \u201cMiladinov Brothers\u201d Award, recognizing it as one of the top five poetry collections presented at the Struga Poetry Evenings. Her poetry has been translated into several languages, including German, English, Serbian, Croatian, Italian, and Spanish.
