The poetics of Vladimir Lukash gravitates around the unusual and the surreal, both in literary, visual, and cinematic forms. His writing style focuses on making the phenomena of the world seem strange and extraordinary.<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biography<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Vladimir Lukash <\/strong>(born in 1978 in Skopje) is a musician, visual artist, poet, prose writer, and illustrator. He is actively involved in all spheres of art. He appears as both an author and illustrator of several books. He is the author of the following books: \u201cGeni, Meni, Seni (The Origin of Grandmothers)\u201d (a novel, 2023), \u201cTake a Bow and Begin\u201d (a children’s picture book, 2022), \u201cA Spit for Mite, a Spit for All\u201d (a poetry collection for children, 2022), \u201cMicromonograph on Outcasts from the World of Animated Film\u201d (2022), \u201cShi, Zifri, Kopchi\u201d (poems for children, 2021), \u201cCreature-ade\u201d (short stories for children, 2020), \u201cDeadline, My Love!\u201d (short stories, 2018), \u201cRadishan Preludes\u201d (miniatures for piano), \u201cHangovers\u201d (poetry, co-authored with Aleksandar Krstev, 2003), \u201cSee You Soon. E.\u201d (a novel, co-authored with Dragana Evtimova, 2017), and \u201cBiblical Ethics\u201d (with a group of authors). He is also the illustrator of the picture books \u201cGrandpa Mile\u201d, \u201cAmazing Machines\u201d, and \u201cThe Velveteen Rabbit\u201d. He has held several solo exhibitions both locally and internationally and has created a few short animated films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGeni, meni, seni\u201d might not be the kind of novel we’re accustomed to, but it is undoubtedly a novel that our time demands and brings it forth. The fragmentariness elevated to the level of just one dimension of the novelistic literary hologram, combined with the poetic and visual, the realistic and fictional, allows for the genre transformation of short prose (on a micro level) into a novel (on a macro level).
