Presenting Macedonian literature at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2024

This year, for the third time, the Association of Macedonian Publishers will organize the national presentation of Macedonian literature at the world’s largest book fair – the Frankfurt Book Fair 2024, which will take place from October 16 to 21.

Under the slogan “Echoes of the Past, Voices of Tomorrow”, we celebrate contemporary Macedonian literature. It is like a multidimensional puzzle, where pieces of the past and visions of the future converge to (re)create the present. ECHOES OF THE PAST travel and refract through the consciousness of different generations of writers. Each, in their unique way, as if through a sound kaleidoscope, produces the most colorful and exciting VOICES OF TOMORROW for the curious reader’s ear.

We are excited to invite you to our stand (International Hall 4.1, D52). Our team will guide you through contemporary Macedonian literature, revealing the strongest voices from our literary scene. Additionally, specially for the fair presentation, 11 purposefully created English translations of works from contemporary Macedonian literary production will be available.
